The inn also has four historic dining rooms and a more casual taproom where guests can enjoy an Americana-style menu. Free tours of the inn’s art collection are offered throughout the year, as well as wine tastings and events. The inn is so famous that it was even featured in a Hallmark Christmas movie, ‘Christmas at Pemberley Manor’. The inn has cozy common areas with ever-burning fires and scenic views of the snow.

Stanton House Inn – Greenwich

The Stanton House Inn in Greenwich, according to the website, was built in 1843 and converted into a bed and breakfast in 1985. There are several warm dining rooms and lounges for ultimate relaxation with a book, iPad or laptop — or a few friends and a rousing conversation. The cranberry red library room has a large fireplace and access to board games, record player and records, books, magazines and a working parlor organ.

Captain Stannard Country Inn Bed and Breakfast – Westbrook

This Westbrook inn was built in 1873 as the home of sea captain Elbert Stannard, according to the website. Each room is equipped with a desk, easy chair, ironed sheets and hand-delivered homemade sweets after each room refresh.

The inn is steps away from the beach and offers numerous activity programs for guests. Nautical motifs in the rooms and common areas make this place feel like a true captain’s retreat.
