The Polson Senior Center, located at 504 Third Ave. E., is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch is available on weekdays from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM. Memberships (ages 50 and up) are available on a voluntary basis for $15 per year. Individuals and small groups are always welcome for lounging, puzzling, reading, card or board games, billiards, etc. Call us with your questions at 406-883-4735, or send an email to

This year is the 50th anniversary of our Polson Senior Center. We look back on a big party. If you have stories or photos from previous years, please let us know. Our historian and directors begin to put together an exhibit for us to share. If you had or have relatives who were active in the center, please let us know.


Exercise class: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. (low impact; seated, if desired)

Bridge: postponed. Normally Tuesday and Friday. Call or come in to get on the player list.

Mahjong: Wednesday 12:30 pm.

Pinochle: Thursday 12.30 pm. We play 3-5 hands per table. Guidance available.

Bingo: Friday 7pm.

Thursday 20 January: Free hearing clinic from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pool: We need expertise in repairing some well-used cue sticks. Also, if you have some gently used cue sticks or cue tip repair kits, we can use them. Practice for weekly free open pool tournaments; age 50-plus (younger if accompanied by a parent!).

Games will be played on Thursdays at 3:00 PM, or any other time or day the players prefer. Swimming pool is free; no entrance fee. Organized weekly pool games were set to begin on January 6. Practice most weekdays from 8am to 11:30am and from 12:30pm to 3pm.


Lunch is served at the Centre, takeaway or home delivery, from 11:45am to 12:30pm Monday to Friday. If you are a new customer, please call 406-883-4735 for information about payment arrangements. Meals cost $5.

Wednesday, January 19: Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich, toddlers, baked beans, creamy fruit salad and apple pie.

Thursday January 20: Meatloaf, baked potato, green beans, green salad and tapioca pudding.

Friday January 21: Soft shell taco, beans, salsa, sour cream, Frito corn salad and orange cake.

Monday January 24: Split pea soup, cornbread, cottage cheese with fruit and poke cake.

Tuesday, January 25: Pork chops, cheesy potatoes, stir-fried vegetables, fruit jello, and pumpkin bars.

Wednesday, January 26: Fried chicken, dressing, mixed vegetables, cranberry salad and lemon pudding.

Thursday, January 27: Polish dog, macaroni with cheese, corn, sauerkraut salad and a brownie.

Friday, January 28: Roast beef, potatoes and gravy, green beans, peach and pretzel salad, and birthday cake.

Monday January 31: Beef noodle soup, sandwich, green salad and dump cake.


Dixon Senior Center continues to serve our community and hope everyone stays happy and healthy. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy dinner, breakfast and/or pinochle. We also accept takeaway. Meals are served at 5:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays. Meals are $4 per serving and can be delivered to Dixon residents upon request.


We will be taking a break from Pinochle during the winter for the safety of our seniors. It will return in the spring.
