Though Davis outmaneuvered his opponent, he was unable to score a stoppage, ending his 16-fight KO streak in one go. Well, ‘Tank’ might stay in the lightweight division for a while and can generate some of the best matchups.

Exactly, Davis is seemingly looking for a pay-per-view opponent who will help him land a huge payday. The lightweight division is already thriving with top contenders and Davis can host countless blockbuster matchups from within the slot. That said, former champion Vasyl Lomachenko seems to have caught the attention of Team Davis. Gervonta Davis’ trainer reached out to ES News and shared his thoughts on Tank’s potential in a clash with ‘The Matrix’.

Davis’ coach Calvin Ford said: “We are waiting for that fight [with Lomachenk]. It’s going to be a chess match

“I don’t know if Loma will take the risk he will with Tank, but that’s a mega fight, to tell you the truth.”

According to reports, Top Rank chief Bob Arum is trying to stage a fight between Lomachenko and lightweight titlist George Kambosos Jr. in Australia. So Davis can sit back until then.
