BELLEFONTE — The 2021 17th Annual Bellefonte Intervalley Area Chamber of Commerce Croquet Tournament was the biggest competition ever. A total of 30 teams kept the Victorian Croquet tradition alive by competing in a double-elimination tournament in the Greens Area of Talleyrand Park on a hot Sunday afternoon in August. In the end, three teams left the field with the highest honors and received beautiful trophies and medals.
— First place winners: The “On a roll” Team of Ken Rossman and Mike Kustaborder — sponsored by Logan Branch Insurance Agency. With this win, Ken and Mike successfully defended their 2020 first place title.
— Second place winners: The “Soft Strokes” Team of Dane Soltys and Josh Jabco — sponsored by Jabco Custom Lawn Care, LLC.
— Third place winners: The “Tricky Wicky” Team of Karen Schwentner and Dave Nellis — sponsored by the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau.
The Chamber of Bellefonte would like to give special thanks to former Chamber President Matt Hill, President of the Tournament, for personally sponsoring the Prize trophies and medals and for his work and dedication to the Tournament. Special thanks also go to Jabco Custom Lawn Care, LLC, for site preparation, Bellefonte Borough, who provided the site and portable sound system, Historic Bellefonte, Inc. for sandwich boards to hang sponsor boards, M&M Copy Service for printing, and for the Bellefonte Sunrise Rotary Club for refereeing the matches.
Many thanks to the sponsors and the teams who not only made the tournament possible, but also very successful:
