The athletics program’s overall GPA for the fall was 3.19, the fifth-highest ever. Impressively, that top 5 has gathered in the past five installments. The fall sports balanced school and competition well. Fifty football players earned the Athletics Director’s Honor (3.0+) and 38 earned Dean’s List (3.2+).

Women’s cross country/track set a program record with 23 on both. The men’s cross-country squad placed eight on the AD list and seven claimed the Dean’s List. The soccer ladies saw 22 make the AD Honor Roll with 21 on the Dean’s List, while volleyball, along with their beach sisters, finished 23 and 21 respectively. The full story is linked above.

To be eligible for the academic team for all conferences, student athletes must have at least a cumulative grade of 3.3 points by the end of the fall semester and must participate in at least half of their team’s competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshman and freshman transfers ineligible for admission.
