Mike Tyson gave Francis Ngannou a boxing lesson to help him prepare for a possible future fight with Tyson Fury

Mike Tyson gave Francis Ngannou tips on how to fight Tyson Fury when they met in 2019.

At his famous Tyson Ranch, the iconic former undisputed heavyweight champion welcomed the MMA star who is now, nearly three years later, the UFC heavyweight champion.

Ngannou is the current UFC Heavyweight Champion and will put his title on the line at UFC 270

The pair recorded a video together, which Ngannou posted calling out Fury.

In the clip, Tyson shows Ngannou’s tactics to take on the current WBC heavyweight boxing champion.

He said: “With Fury, he hits long.

“So if he takes a long punch, you have to move to the side with short punches.

“Hit him around, with powerful punches to the body.”

Ngannou is set to defend his title against Cyril Gane at UFC 270 on Saturday night.

If he takes a win – which is by no means a guarantee – then there will likely be renewed speculation about a possible future boxing match against Fury.

Ngannou has admitted that this will not happen until 2023 at the earliest, though the couple has yet to exchanged words on social media this month.

Fury welcomed the idea and posted a hypothetical fight poster on social media.

Fury captioned the tweet: “Who would want to see me fight this beast – boxing rules, UFC gloves? @DanaWhite @Francis_Ngannou.”

Ngannou replied, “What about MMA rules with boxing gloves? I can do you that favor.”

To which Fury replied, “You want to come into my world and call me and Deontay Wilder for a boxing match.

“What I can guarantee [is] you would be knocked out and also pay your highest wallet for being like that! So think about it.”

Ngannou concluded: “After I settle cases on January 22, I will fight you according to any special rule you want. In a ring, an octagon or a phone booth.”
