2022 is off to an exciting start for our England Junior and Cadet squads. We are pleased to announce a number of new appointments and moves within the England Talent Pathway programme.

Three new Assistant Coaches have been appointed to the Cadet Girls team: Diego Philippe Lopes from Portugal, Marjana Senk Erminio from Richmond Volleyball and Krystian Kowalski from Wapping Wildcubs. They join current Cadet Girls Head Coach Darren Lewis of Boswells School, Assistant Coach Freddie Fairbairn of the University of Nottingham and Team Manager Iwona Grabon of the University of Nottingham.

Keith Trenam, of Sheffield VC, has switched from coaching the Junior Men’s squad to Head Coach of the Cadet Boys team. He is joined by four new assistant coaches Piotr Makowski from Leeds Gorse VC and Skyball Beach Volleyball Club, David Roberts from Stockport VC and Leeds Gorse VC, who returns to the Talent Pathway program, Joel Matthews from Norwich Spikers and Ronan Bellabarba from Marske VC. The Cadet Boys’ new team manager will be Antonio Codrington of London Lynx, who is also returning to the Talent Pathway program. These new appointments complete the Cadet Boys team which has been set up alongside assistant coaches Ben Fairweather of Exeter Storm VC and Ryan Murphy of Watford VC.

Sam Bragg of Black Country and Sam Shenton of Northumbria University have been promoted to joint Head Coaches for the Junior Men’s-squad, they were previously Assistant Coaches for the team. The Junior Men’s team has two new Assistant Coaches, Giorgio Scatigna-Gianfagna from Richmond Volleyball and Philip Crawford from UK Armed Forces Volleyball and Flaming Six VC. Alongside them are Team Essex’s new team manager Andrew Tuck and Newcastle Staffs VC’s new team ambassador Adam Bradbury.

The Women’s Junior Team has no new staff, with Inter VC’s Danny Primus as Head Coach, Coventry & Warwick Riga’s Alex Smith and Sheffield VC’s Rachel Hutt as Assistant Coaches and Dartford VC’s Cat Machado as Team Manager. There is still one vacancy Assistant Coach at the Junior Women’s Team. If you are interested, click here to read the job description and apply.

We also made three new appointments to the Talent Pathway Team. Alex Jenkins from UP Uppsala Sweden and Phil Spalding from PS Physical Conditioning become joint S&C Leads. Next to them is Kat Whelan of Coventry FC as S&C Coach.
