Netizens say ‘something never changes’ as Kamran Akmal drops lollipop

In a remarkable development regarding cricket enthusiasts, the Legends League Cricket (LLC 2022) kicked off on Thursday as the Asia Lions take on the Indian Maharajas. It was a fun but very intense game as the Lions had a huge goal of 175 runs. However, the Maharajas were able to give chase thanks to an excellent at bat by Yusuf Pathan. The match saw it all as the old guard of cricket returned to the pitch to play. One moment that had social media in rift was when the Lions’ wicketkeeper, former Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal, dropped a relatively easy catch.

The Legends League Cricket is a professional cricket competition aimed at retired players. It features three star-studded teams that will close the horns with each other. Of course with retired players returning to the game it would be hard to love them that much as many of them haven’t played the sport for a while. But the LLC makes sure that they promote competitive cricket by checking the fitness level of the players. Andrew Leipus the LLC’s director of sports science is responsible for monitoring players’ fitness levels.
