Now Kambosos Jr has responded to the veteran promoter.
Mr. Arum, with all due respect, they are not coming to watch Haney or Lomachenko, they are coming to watch their Emperor return home with all his belts after the Takeover boxing. These belts are from Australia and Greece and they need an army to take them off us 🇬🇷🇦🇺🏟 https://t.co/ozyU4RDOPl

he tweeted, “Mr. Arum, with all due respect, they’re not coming to see Haney or Lomachenko, they’re coming to watch their emperor return home with all his belts after the Takeover boxing. These belts are from Australia and Greece and they will need an army to take them off us.”
The lines were similar to what former UFC champion Conor McGregor had said in 2016 prior to his lightweight title fight at UFC 205.
‘The infamous’ said, “I’m going to pack one” [belt] on one shoulder and I’m going to wrap one around the other shoulder, and you’ll need a whole army to take those straps off me.”
As of now, it’s unclear if the reference was intentional or if it was simply the champion expressing his supremacy over everyone in the division.
George Kambosos Jr. united title win
In the epic title fight, Kambosos Jr. tore Teofimo Lopez apart. Trained as a stable mate of Manny Pacquiao, ‘The Emperor’ showcased the true art of boxing. ‘Ferocious’ got off to a good start in the high-pressure contest at a packed Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden.

The Aussie knocked out Teofimo Lopez himself on the opening lap and set the tone for what turned out to be an epic match. In the next 11 laps smooth footwork, crazy flickers and brutal hooks kept the defending champion at bay.
Although he was on his knees in the 10th round, he fought back brilliantly and dominated. Unfortunately for ‘The Takeover’ that was only good enough for a shared victory.
