Circus Spectacular heads to Newcastle on a February date at Tyne Theater & Opera House

In his early days his parents bought a small caravan and they would go to Zippo’s Circus during the school holidays and this is where his clown name was born.

At a publicity session for the circus, he was asked what his name was and boss Martin “Zippo” Burton replied, “He’s a baby Zippo, that’s why his name is Bippo!”

And as Bippo, he has since appeared on TV in shows including Blue Peter and The Sooty Show, while other appearances have included Big Brother and his own BBC3 documentary Send In The Clowns.

At the Newcastle theater he will be joined by his partner Miss Chelsea, who herself started in the circus at the age of 16 and whose multiple talents include a hula hoop act; aerial acrobatics, trapeze and roller skating.
