Morgan State’s No. 1 doubles team or Asmara Rose and Averiana Mitchell defeated Dominique Yeo and Anouk Ma-Ajong 6-3.

“We lost a tough match. We battled and controlled most of the matches, but didn’t complete the job of finishing,” said Morgan State head coach Matthew Townes. “It’s the first match of the year, so I expect us to get that killer instinct soon.”

Next up for the Lady Bears is a non-conference contest in Washington, DC against George Washington. First serve is slated for 1 pm
