Eminem Teams With Platoon For Boxing Series – Billboard

Eminem is the latest musician to sign up for Peloton’s Artist Series practice platform. Beginning Friday (Jan. 28), you can login to Peloton’s first-ever boxing-specific artist series and shadow box for Marshall’s full catalog. And the good news is, you won’t just be throwing haymakers into your basement: According to a release announcing the partnership, Peloton will premiere the class series with a guest spot from Em, who will make its platform debut.

“Hover like a butterfly, I’m going to sting like a bee. Come to @onepeloton 1/28.. get the app,” Eminem tweeted Tuesday along with a video of a ripped shadow boxer taking some air Kamikaze number “Greatest.” The connection to Peloton makes sense, given that Em would at one point star in Antoine Fuqua’s boxing movie Southpaw (who eventually played Jake Gyllenhaal) as a boxer on the skids after his wife dies and he loses custody of his daughter; the rapper eventually recorded the song “Phenomenal” for the film’s soundtrack, which he also executive produced.

“On January 28, we will make history! Step in for 3 rounds of LIVE back-to-back boxing lessons. And for the first time ever, you throw at Eminem. All of them. Night. Lang,” Peloton revealed in a press release announcing the partnership.

The series premiere will feature a special one-night boxing event designed to allow members in multiple time zones to participate and log in to one of three live boxing classes from instructors Rad Lopez (6:00 p.m. ET), Selena Samuela (7:00 p.m. ET) and Kendall Toole (9 p.m. ET), which will be available on-demand later.

In addition, Em’s music will also be available on other Peloton platforms this weekend, including a 20-minute “Eminem Core Strength with Robin Arzon” class on Saturday (Jan. 29, 10am ET), a 45-minute “Eminem Thunder 45” tread bootcamp featuring Adrian Williams (10 am ET), 30 minute “Eminem Ride” with Denis Morton (afternoon ET) and 30 minute “Eminem Ride” with Cliff Dwenger (2 pm ET) on Sunday (Jan. 30) and a 45 minute “Eminem Bike Bootcamp” with Jess Sims at 12:00 p.m. ET on Sunday (Jan. 31).

Peloton has also recently rolled out collections featuring the music of David Bowie and Taylor Swift.
