Bowling Roundup- Battle of the Birds sees Quincy and Coldwater split; Bronson boys downs Constantine

COLDWATER — It was the Battle of the Birds Tuesday night at Midway Lanes as the Coldwater Cardinals faced off with the Quincy Orioles in varsity bowling action.

The two teams split on the night, with the boys contest going to the Orioles and the girls match up going to Coldwater.

In the boys contest it was Quincy riding a hot streak in the Baker games to the victory, winning 17.5-12.5.

Quincy typically bowls the Cascade Conference format, meaning the Baker games are bowled first, however Coldwater follows the Interstate 8 format, meaning the Baker games are last. Tuesday the teams played by Interstate 8 rules, meaning the Baker games would take place last.

Before the baker games it was a shootout in the regular games, with Quincy taking game one 776-758, with the Oriole taking home seven key points. Scoring for Quincy was Dave Milliman with a 133, Brady Harper with a 203, and Tyler Short with a 202.
