The Red Flash enters the weekend with a 1-3 record. Their only win came on January 22 against Long Island 3-0. The Red Flash own losses against Midwestern Volleyball Intercollegiate Association members Ohio State, Loyola Chicago and Lewis. All three losses were in straight sets.

As a team, the red flash hit .189 and allowed opponents to hit .309. Blake Liprando leads the Red Flash in total kills with 26 (2.36 kills per set) and gets 0.246 percent. Liprando also leads the Red Flash in total digs (19) and is second in digs per set (1.73). Behind Liprando is Thomas Leahey with a total of 23 kills (1.92 kills per set). Leahey leads the Red Flash with a .500 batting percentage. Ryan Parker and AJ Schmidt have a split at Setter. Parker leads the Red Flash in total assists (56) and assists per set (8.00), while Schmidy averages 7.50 assists per set and has a total of 45 assists.

heavy hitters
Individually, the “Dons” rank in the top 10 in several categories in the NCAA. Jon Diedrich leads the country in total kills (98) and kills in a five-set match (26). He is also second in the country in kills per set (4.67), points per set (5.17), third in attacks per set (10.05), and tied for seventh in kills in a match of three sets (15). In addition to, Troy Gooch is fifth in the country in digs in a four-set match (15) and Bryce Walker is eighth in batting percentage (.465)

Double problem
In his first start of his career against St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, January 22, freshman setter Zach Solomon earned his first career double-double with 37 assists and 12 digs. He joins junior setter Sean Califf as the only active players on the roster with a double-double.
