Play the 2022 Guinness Six Nations Fantasy Rugby game!

Each player is initially registered in the general competition with the rest of the participants from all over the world, whose ranking is updated after each round of play.

You also have the option to create or join a private league, which you can invite your friends and family to join you to compare your teams in each round.

And remember, use your intuition when selecting your players to have the most balanced and efficient team possible while respecting your budget!

How points are calculated

Each Fantasy Rugby team must consist of 15 regular players, whose performance on the field during the Championship determines how many points they contribute.

Each player on the pitch earns ‘Team’ points depending on the outcome of the match and ‘rugby player’ points which are determined by their individual stats.

The ‘Team’ points are applied in proportion to the presence in the field. If a player only plays half the game, he only gets half of the ‘Team’ points.

Up to four players from each country are allowed on your squad, while players’ worth evolves based on their on-field performance over the course of the competition.

The maximum number of rugby players allowed per position is as follows: 1 fullback, 2 wingers, 2 center, 1 fly-half, 1 scrum-half, 3 flankers, 2 second row, 2 prop and 1 hooker.

During each game round, you have the option to choose a captain from your 15 regular players. This player’s points are doubled in the round!

Tackle the numbers

If one of the players you’ve added plays at home, a win gives your team eight points, while a draw and defeat are worth four points and one point, respectively.

A strong away game is even more valuable, with all your inclusions as part of a win on their travels worth 12 points, while a draw is worth six points and a defeat three points.

Point difference is also something to consider, with 0.2 points being added or subtracted from your score for each point separating the two teams in each player’s game.

Individually, offense is essential, with each attempt scored by one of your inclusions earns your team 15 points. Conversions and penalties are both worth three and drop goals are worth six points.

In addition, three points are awarded for each tackle break made by one of your players, while each meter carried with the ball in hand is worth 0.3 points.

However, a rock solid defense is also important, with each tackle worth one point, while those considered a dominant tackle are worth three points to your total.

Finally, if one of your team members is named the Official Guinness Six Nations Player of the Match in their game, you will be awarded 15 points, while yellow and red cards result in a five and ten point deduction, respectively.

Throughout the championship, we’ll be giving you hints and tips on who to select regularly, so keep an eye on to steal a march to your friends!
