BRIGHTON – Brighton Speedway officials are excited to unveil an action-packed 2022 season schedule.

The track’s 55th season features 24 events, including many 360 Sprint events, Monster Truck Madness, Labor Day Classic, Applefest Shootout and Eve of Destruction.

The schedule is fastened by the track’s six weekly divisions including Vanderlaan Building Products LTD Late Models, Bainer’s OilGARDAnti-Rust Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive & Industrial Supply Thunder Stocks, Bill’s Johns Comp 4 and Mini Stocks and the Quinte Septic Stinger Division. While also receiving visits from the Southern Ontario Sprints, Pinty’s Knights of Thunder 360’s, Action Sprint Tour fueled by Pinty’s, DIRTCar 358 and Sportsman Modifieds, Vanderlaan Building Products Northeast Late Model Alliance Series, OSCAAR Hot Rods, EOVSCC Vintage Cars and Insta Panels ODCC Thunder Stocks and Mini Stocks.

Brighton Speedway’s season opener is set for Saturday, April 30th presented by Coca-Cola. Saturday night’s action welcomes back Late Models, Canadian Modifieds, Thunder Stocks, Comp 4 and Mini Stocks to kick off the season and chase for the champions.

The track welcomes the return of the Southern Ontario Sprints, the series will make multiple appearances throughout the season. The first appearance for the winged warriors is set for Saturday May 21st powered by Campbellford Chrysler and Brighton Recycling, the series comes back Saturday June 11th, Saturday July 9th and Saturday July 30th.

As always Brighton Speedway brings shows for all kinds of dirt track racing fans, especially entertainment the kids love. On June 18th, Lange and Fetter Motors Ltd features a night of racing with their weekly divisions of Late Models, Canadian Modifieds, Thunder Stocks, Comp 4, Mini Stocks and popular Workman OK Tire Quinte West School Bus Races. The very next week Bay Marine will host the Pro Rider Free Style MX tour with professional Motocross free style jumpers.

The excitement does not stop there, Hotch Auto Parts presents Monster Truck Madness with Train Wreck and Sabotage on July 23rd. This July event will also feature the weekly divisions of Late Models, Canadian Modifieds, Thunder Stocks, Comp 4, Mini Stocks and Stingers. Fans will need to take into account that both the June 18th and July 23rd events will be reserved seating, tickets must be purchased in advance by visiting brightonspeedway.ca while quantities last.

Rock 107, Mystical Distributing and GForceTV presents the Labor Day Classic Sprint Car weekend, set for Saturday September 3rd and Sunday September 4th. Saturday hosts the Knights of Thunder 360 Sprint Cars as well as the Action Sprint Tour. In 2021 during covid this event drew over 60 sprint cars to the Bay of Quinte region to compete on the 1/3rd mile oval. Late Models, Thunder Stock, Comp 4 and Stingers will also be in action on Saturday. Round two of the Classic weekend will take place on Sunday and brings more sprint excitement with Knights of Thunder 360 sprint cars, Action Sprint Tour, Canadian Modifieds, Thunder Stock and Mini Stock division.

The 18th annual Bryan’s Auction Applefest Shootout is scheduled for the weekend of Friday September 23rd and Saturday September 24th. Applefest Shootout weekend is presented by Coca-Cola, Cool 100 and Imagefactor.ca. Friday night will kick of the fan favorite weekend with DIRTCar Sportsman, Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club (EOVSCC), Canadian Modified Heats, NLMA Late Model Heats, Thunder Stock open event, ODCC Mini Stock Duel on the Dirt and a DIRT 358 Modified Dash for cash.

Saturday it will all heat up with the annual Imagefactor.ca Canadian DIRT series 358 Modified 75 Lap Applefest Shootout. Joining the mighty 358 Modifieds will be DIRTCar Sportsman, The NLMA Late Model Great Crate Race, ODCC Thunder Stock Duel on the Dirt, Canadian Modified feature and a Comp 4/Mini Stock Showdown.

The 55th season concludes with Lange & Fetter presenting the EVE OF DESTRUCTION. This event includes the Workman OK Tire School Bus Races, the Brighton Recycling Demolition Derby, Hotch’s Auto Parts 100 lap Monster Enduro, Ladies Enduro and Juniors Enduro, The Gauntlet, Flag Pole Race and Northshore RV Park Trailer Race. For this historically sold out event tickets must be purchased online at brightonspeedway.ca in advance and while quantities last.
