Tyson Fury has confirmed his plans to make a Hollywood movie about his boxing career and has proposed ‘The Rock’ plays the main character.

The ‘Gypsy King’ has had a remarkable career at the top of the sport, making a remarkable comeback after health issues to become world champion for a second time.

He currently holds the WBC title and will defend it against Dillian Whyte on April 23 in what he has claimed will be his last fight.

Fury has confirmed he has received offers from film directors to make a movie about his life and boxing career, but is yet to decide on his next move after boxing.

“I have been offered Hollywood movies plenty of times,” Fury told BT Sport. “But they will 10 per cent do a movie about me one day.

“The Rock plays me in the movie, my brother The Rock. It could either be me or The Rock who plays me in the movie.

“I have got six kids at home and a wife. When is enough enough? Why do I have to be one of them people who goes on too long and gets injured for one too many fights and be known for guy who blew it all for a few quid?

“I want to retire on top, do a Netflix documentary about me and a Hollywood movie. I do love this sport but when I am done, I am done. I always say I never get involved in other people’s business because there is so many trainers and managers with more experience than me.

“So I will let them stay involved in their business same as they have let me do my job as a fighter. They are already there. I could probably talk about boxing like you do, commentary or punditry.”

‘The Rock’ launched his career in the WWE where Fury has also competed, and is well-known for his starring roles in several high-grossing films including Jumanji.

Fury reached the pinnacle of the sport by defeating Wladimir Klitschko to become the unified champion before suffering mental health problems which led to a spell out of the ring.

However after ballooning in weight and struggling with drink and drug addictions, he made a stunning comeback to twice beat Deontay Wilder to settle their trilogy in his favour.

He has since has vowed that his upcoming domestic showdown with Whyte will be his last.

The winner of Anthony Joshua’s pending rematch with Oleksandr Usyk could be a future opponent for Fury if he opted to challenge for the undisputed titles.

Fury has suggested he would be willing to break that retirement and return if an offer is made for a crossover bout with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
