The series against Yale dates as far back as 1870, with the Rams holding a slight edge in the all-time series at 35-32. Most recently, the teams played a home-and-home series in 2017 and 2018 with Yale taking an 8-4 decision at Houlihan Park in 2017, while Fordham won the 2018 meeting, 4-3, at George HW Bush Field in Connecticut.

LAST TIME OUT: FAU’s Nolan Schanuel & Dylan Goldstein each drove in four runs on Sunday, as the Owls completed a series sweep of the Fordham Rams with a 10-3 win at FAU Baseball Stadium in Boca Raton, Florida.

After FAU took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, Fordham quickly cut the deficit to 2-1, when Nico Boza connected on a solo home run to right, the first of his career.

The Owls though got the run back in the bottom of the frame and extended the lead to 9-1 by the sixth inning. Their scoring was highlighted by a two-run single by Nolan Schanuel in the fifth inning and a
two-run triple by Dylan Goldstein in the sixth.

Fordham netted single runs in the seventh and ninth innings for a 10-3 final, as Will Findlay registered an RBI single in the seventh and a solo home run in the ninth, the first of his career.

At the plate, Findlay was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI, while Boza and Zach Selinger each had scored two hits and a run.

MILESTONE WIN: With the win over Manhattan, head coach Kevin Leighton recorded his 255th win at Fordham, moving into a tie for third place on Fordham’s all-time coaching wins list with Jack Lynch, who coached at Fordham from 1886-1891.

HOULIHAN PARK TO HOST 2022 ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONSHIP: For the fifth time, Fordham University’s Houlihan Park will play host to the Atlantic 10 Championship in 2022. The Championship will take place May 24-28. Previously, Houlihan Park hosted the Atlantic 10 Championship in 2006, 2012, 2016, and 2019. The Rams hope to repeat the most recent result in 2019, when Fordham captured the league crown for the first time since 1998.

WHO’S NEXT: The Rams will next be in action on March 16, when the Rams host Wagner, starting at 3:00 PM at Houlihan Park.
