AS GEORGIA SOUTHERN WILL GO ON TO TAKE GAME ONE OF THE TWINBILL 7-3. ANOTHER ST. PATRICK’S DAY TRADITION IS RETURNING THIS YEAR. THE 43RD ANNUAL ST. PATRICK’S DAY RUGBY TOURNAMENT IS BACK IN ALL ITS GLORY AT DAFFIN PARK. THE EVENT HOSTED BY THE SA VANNAH SHAMROCKS DRAWS RUGBY PLAYERS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. THIS YEAR SOME 82 TEAMS IN BOTH MEN’S AND WOMEN’S DIVISIONS ARE TAKING PART IN THE TOURNAMENT WHICH WRAPS UP SUNDAY AFTERNOON. The event in its 43rd year is back after a one-year break because of COVID-19

Another St. Patrick’s day tradition is returning this year.The 43rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Rugby Tournament is back in all its glory at Daffin Park.The event, hosted by the Savannah Shamrocks, draws rugby players from all over the country. This year, some 82 teams in both men’s and women’s divisions are taking part in the tournament which wraps up Sunday afternoon.”We have men’s and women’s teams we have Premiere Division 1level for men’s and women’s teams all the way down to men’s and women’s Collegiate ,” said Lindsay Schmidt, Tournament Director. “We even have old boys divisions so that would be 35- and 45-year-old guys that are out here playing, so we have 12 different divisions this year, so a lot of teams out here both men’s and women’s.”
