Peru State bowling hired DaMoude as head coach – Syracuse Journal-Democrat

The Peru State athletic department has announced the hiring of Dwyane R. Da Moude as their new head bowling coach for the upcoming fall 2022 season. Da Moude is currently at Sun Valley Lanes and Games Operator from 2011-to present.

Da Moude has been at Sun Valley Lanes and Games for 24 years since 1998 doing a multitude of jobs. He started as a Maintenance/Pin Spotter Mechanic from 1998-2008. He has been the Center Instructor/Education Supervisor from 2010 to present. Da Moude also has been the Director of Youth Development from 2012 to present. He was the Games Assistant Operator from 2008-2011.

Da Moude also has served on many staffs and board affiliations in bowling. He has worked for Storm Bowling Products from 2009 to present. Da Moude worked at the VIP/Star Pro Shop from 2009 to present. He has been on the Vise Inserts Staff since 2015. In addition, he has been the Roto Grip Ambassador since 2019.

He has served on the IBPSIA since 2018 in a plethora of distinct roles. Da Moude has served on the Board of Directors since 2018. He was their Secretary/Treasurer in 2019. In 2020 Da Moude served as the Vice President. Da Moude has been the IBPSIA President since 2020.

Da Moude has had camps across the state of Nebraska since 2012 and has excelled in social media on Facebook by posting content of players and coaches to learn about bowling.

He also has many certifications and training levels from USBC, IBPSIA and ASEP. Da Moude has also coached in the state of Nebraska for a long time. Da Moude was the Lincoln North Star High School Boys JV and Varsity Head Coach from 2006-2012. He won the Class “A” State Championship during the 2010-2011 seasons with the JV Team. The Navigators were also the Varsity State Runner-Up in 2011 under his direction.

His team was the Kick Off Classic Bakers Round Robin State Champions in 2011. Da Moude conducted the Nebraska Coaches Association training class for the Nebraska State Special Olympics Coaches from 2011-2015.

He has taught 200 private lessons every year since 2009 and was instructor for 100 free youth clinics in conjunction with Kids Bowl Free Program from 2011-2013.

Da Moude created one of the first USA Bowling leagues in the nation from 2014-2017. In 2016 and 2017, he hosted two USA Bowling Regional Championships. He has sent three teams from the U12-U15 age groups to the National Championships in 2016 and 2017. In addition, Da Moude held the 2016 World Youth Championships. His Pro shop serviced all 29 countries competing and he assisted in all official medal presentations after the medal rounds of competition.

Da Moude co-created the NHSBF High School State Arena Championships which was the first arena style, televised school state championships in the nation from 2007-2017. He also received a multitude of awards such as the Nebraska High School Bowling Federation’s Commissioners Award for his outstanding service to the state of Nebraska for the enrichment and advancement of high school bowling. He won the USBC Coach of the Year Award at the Nebraska State Hall of Fame in 2019.

Da Moude will begin his duties of coaching the men’s and women’s bowling team on July 1.
