Buttler, along with spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, has played a huge role in RR making their maiden final since the inaugural edition in 2008 and will be key once again as the Men in Pink make a final push for the coveted trophy.
The destructive opener went through a lean phase in the second half of the league with just 138 runs to his name in 7 innings, however, came storming back in time for the playoffs. Buttler has scored 195 runs in two games in the playoffs and for Gujarat Titans to get past the Royals, dismissing Buttler will be on the top of their to-do list for Sunday.

Speaking on ESPNCricinfo, Manjrekar said, “Maybe try Rashid Khan against Buttler. Hey bowls stump to stump. Whenever Buttler has been in trouble, it has been with that line that has been straight on, into the stumps and full.”

“I think GT have the personnel, particularly in Mohammed Shami. Seam bowlers have had some success in the past against him with that Test-match line and lengths, trying to challenge the stumps as much as possible. If they can be aggressive in those areas, they can give themselves a chance, or be it a very tough one,” Vettori said.
